About This Game StarCore is a metroidvania style action platformer. Explore a giant space ship, gain upgrades and improve stats, defeat huge bosses and meet new allies. You play as Trion, Leader of an Arkonian team sent to steal the StarCore from the Draketh. The Draketh are an advanced mining empire that uses the StarCore to destroy planets with ease. Although they haven't attacked any civilization yet, the Arkonians perceive them as a threat. I LOVED THIS GAME. I love pretty much anything megametroidvania and this was it SPOT on.I wanted more even after beating the game. Although I will admit I got lost and backtracked quite a bit but that's one of the drawbacks of a less than linear approach and also whTat makes megametroidvania what it is. A bargain at twice the price.. \udb40\udc21. This game is real rough around the edges, has tons of questionable\/odd design elements, a completely unnecessary story that seems like it was written by a highschooler, and a lot of heart. You can tell that it's from an inexperienced dev who hasn't figured everything out yet, but I'm liking it for what it is. There's lots of odd collision issues, bizarre nonstandard controls, a lack of decent accessibility options (ie no rebindable controls, etc), but it's not terrible. It could use polish. Lots of it. I don't understand why your character shoots on the button's release rather than press or why you can air jump if you walk of ledges regardless of if you have the double jump ability. I like how the levels are designed to be somewhat circular rather than overly straightforward like a lot of modern Metroidvanias. The music is alright. Yeah. This game is alright. I've enjoyed what I played so far and will likely play more of it.. A steal for 51 cents!!!. Excellent, just what you want in a Metroidvania game. I got lost a few times but never to the point of frustraation. I'd recommend it. New XP scoring system: Hello Quakers!We've revamped the XP scoring system to strongly reward players for participation and performance in a match, and substantially decrease the amount of XP for idling in matches.Here are some of the changes we've made: Increased Kills from 3 to 100 Increased Assists 1 to 50 Increased Medals 7-35 to 10-50 Increased 1st Place 35 to 500 Increased 2nd Place 17 to 250 Increased 3rd Place 7 to 100 Increased MVP 17 to 50 Decreased Match Completion 1120 to 50 Decreased First Game 700 to 250 Decreased First Win 1400 to 250This will lower the average earned XP for idle/afk players from 1500-2000 to about 350-500. This should help players get over the progression hump they have experienced near Level 35.We’ve also greatly increased the Custom Game XP output to nearly match Live Public games for Kill, Assist and Medal bonuses. However, we of course removed the bonuses for Match Completion, First Game, First Win.
